Cracking The Samskara Code - A Yogic Blueprint for Resetting The Issues In Our Tissues
Plus 1+ Hr video with Jeff with practices for the course.
Have you ever found yourself repeating the same habitual pattern over and over again, even though you know it doesn’t serve you?
Yes, of course. Unless you are a superhuman, like everyone else you struggle with habits and emotional patterns that can subtly undermine various aspects of your life, be it your health, your happiness, or your relationships.
According to the yogic tradition, the actions or habits we repeatedly engage in create subtle, unconscious imprints, which become so ingrained in our body and awareness that we’re not even aware of them.
Yet, these patterns subtly color our way of perceiving and interacting with the world around us.
The ancient yogis referred to these unconscious patterns as Samskaras. Samskaras are unconscious patterns that subtly impact our way of thinking, shape our personality, drive our interests and tendencies, and hence impact the decisions and actions we make for our life.
According to yogic philosophy, Samskaras are mental and emotional patterns that we carry with us across lifetimes. Samskaras are, essentially, the karmic inheritance that we bring with us into this life.
Positive past Samskaras can impact our choices towards healthy actions. Negative Samskaras (and we all have them) can create a groove of negative perceptions and actions that keep us stuck, repeating the same destructive cycles over and over again.
How can we transform negative Samskaras and set ourselves on a course of creating more positive mental and emotional patterns?
In this 3-part course, master yoga teacher Jeff Masters shows how the practice of yoga was specifically designed to crack the Samskara code, and offer a blueprint for transforming past negative patterns.
Jeff will explore the body's innate tendency to receive, carry and store the latent impressions of Saṃskāras as so-called ‘issues in the tissues’. Learn how yoga can help set us on a path of beginning the process of unwinding and ultimately discharging or releasing the grip of past Samskaras.
